LOWTRANS® Deodorizer

The LOWTRANS® Deodorizer is an advanced deodorization system designed with a view to controlling trans isomer levels, particularly in highly unsaturated oils like Soy, Sunflower, Corn, Rice bran oil etc.

Its unique dual temperature design – deacidification at higher temperature for shorter time then cooling regeneratively by 20 – 250 C (230 – 2400 C) for deodorization retention!

The high-temperature zone (250 – 2°C) functions as the stripper, where heated oil from FEVAC® Final Heater enters. The stripper performs effective removal of free fatty acids, tocopherols, and other volatile components. After this stage, oil temperature is reduced in the low-temperature zone (230–240°C) through regenerative heat exchange with bleaching oil entering the final heater.

This dual-temperature deodorization process ensures efficient deodorization while controlling the isomerization process (trans fat levels) in oil.
