Low Pressure Vertical Pressure Leaf Filter
LPVLF
LPVLF is oil-wax filter designed for dewaxing / winterization of various edible oils, including Rice Bran Oil, Sunflower Oil, Corn Oil, Cotton Seed Oil, and Olein. It operates on the principle of gravity pressure / natural head.
After dewaxing, aesthetic look of the oil becomes clear at room temperature which is confirmed by the cold test carried at 0°C for 8 -10 hours.
Features
Cylindrical shell with a dished bolted top lid and conical bottom having the necessary slope for slipping of material, provided with a drain nozzle at the bottom for fitting a valve, and its leaves are rectangular frames fitted vertically on the bottom manifold top bar assembly.
Leaves are provided with heating and cooling water circulation coils with inlet and outlet connectable to distribution header via flexible hose. Oil outlet adopter nozzle with double ‘O’ rings of food grade rubber rested on the bottom manifold which provides support as well as oil collecting header.
On the frame over the coil, non-woven synthetic cloth bag is mounted with necessary nozzle outlet holes subsequently sealed by counter sealing arrangement.
The operations of this filter can be fully automated as per requirement and integrated with the dewaxing process plant / main stream process operations
As this filter leaves are inside vessel, so the operations are hermetically sealed which helps in maintaining surrounding area clean.
No filter aid is required for filtration, so the wax recovered from this filter is free of insoluble / solids
