High-Intensity Mixing for Efficient Edible Oil Refining
The HIGHSHEAR® Dynamic Mixer is designed for uniform dispersion of reagents in edible oils processing. Effective mixing of the reagent with main stream product is critical for process efficiency in refining operations. There are various stages in oil refining such as degumming, acid conditioning, neutralization, and water washing, depending on the process combination.

Working Principle
HIGHSHEAR® mixers uniformly disperse reagents into the oil using the high-shear principle. The high shearing facilitates the uniform distribution of reagent across the main stream product mass, effecting the treatment of impurities like phospholipids and metal contaminants, and helps in improving the final product quality.

Construction & Design
HIGHSHEAR® mixers are manufactured using high-grade stainless steel and designed for continuous process operation. Its robust design features a shearing device mounted on the shaft, suspended by dual bearings, with shaft sealing by mechanical seal. This assembly is coupled with a vertically mounted, flange-type drive motor with provision of a VFD controller.
